TNC Prints is a full service print shop based in Miami, Florida. Founded as an offshoot from our "The New Caribbean" Brand, which focuses primarily on music and merchandise. Our founder (Kevin Edwards) had a bad experience printing his first set of shirts to sell online after moving to Miami from Antigua & Barbuda. After that he was determined to find a better printer, then it happened, he saw an employment ad on craigslist for a screen print operator and had his 1st 'aha' moment. He realized that instead of searching for a better printer, why not just learn how to print his own shirts himself?, so he took the job for the experience which had a starting pay of $10.50 per hour. He quickly became the lead screen print operator and started to develop a passion for it. Then when a friend needed some shirts printed he had his 2nd 'aha' moment, he thought "I can leverage this job into my own screen printing  service" and he did.

Over the course of 4 years he would work that job while struggling to grow a client base of customers. He had a few but not enough to consider it a real business so he kept on going until one day he got news that the print shop would be downsizing eventually leaving him without a job and no way of printing shirts for clients. Concerned and worried he racked his brain to find anyway he could figure it out but ultimately the shop closed and 3 weeks without a paycheck he started looking for another job. A week into the job hunt he accepted a driving job for a roofing company at $19 an hour then literally the next day he got a call from a sign shop in Pompano offering $21 an hour. He wanted to stay in the print industry and of course the few extra dollars didn't hurt lol. A few months in he had his 3rd 'aha' moment on this journey realizing that printing shirts was only a very tiny portion of the print industry, so he began offering large format printing to potential clients. He vowed he would not have a repeat of the first shop he worked for which he stayed at for 4 years but was left feeling like he had nothing to show for it.

Then it happened, he met Ashley from a non-profit called 'Eatwell Exchange' then he met her sister Joy who owns "Co-Space' in Miami Gardens. He printed his first jobs for them and they loved it but more than the items they loved the personalized and attentive service they received. That led them to referring people they knew which led to those people doing the same and on and on it went. After the 1st few times Kevin realized he wasn't selling printing products, he was selling a branded experience that is uncommon in his niche of the print industry. It's with that as the primary focus that TNC Prints was born and keeps growing. A year and a half after accepting the sign shop job, he quit and now runs the company full time.
